Advanced Learning for a CF Newb

At the beginning of May I got the opportunity through work to go to a coldfusion conference entitled cfObjective(). It’s a conference that’s intended for advanced coldfusion users, so I felt a little overwhelmed with having only about a year and a half of experience. I went to a few classes that discussed technologies that my workplace is utilizing. Introduction to Transfer ORM, Learning how to utilize ANT, and CFEclipse Reloaded just to name a few. I also went to a class called “Introduction to ColdSpring,” cause there was quite a bit of buzz about it during the lunch breaks and such, so I thought maybe I should check it out.

All in all there was a lot of stuff that was a bit over my head, but I also learned a thing or two to bring back to work and attempt to convince my superiors to check out. I look forward to getting an opportunity to go again next year.

Rings of Colors

So Jessica and the bridesmaids went shopping and finally picked a color for the wedding. The color Jessica picked out is called blue velvet. You can go to the Davids Bridal website and see the color here. Also this past weekend we went to Helzberg and picked out a wedding band for Jessica. Lastly we went online on the site for Bella and rated a bunch of pictures so that we can have someone assigned to the style that we like most.

Pictures and a tan

So we went to look at Bella Pictures last Sunday. They had some pretty cool panoramic photo albums that Jess and I really liked. We put a deposit down with them to save the date of our wedding. Also they have you go through and rate photos online so that they can match you to a photographer that fits the style you like, which is nice. You can get all your money refunded up to a month before your wedding date, which is also nice in case we find someone else we may like.

We also got a place for our honeymoon reserved now. I’m excited to get go to go Maui and enjoy some time on the beach with me new wife.

So we found someone to make our cake now. Yuuuuuuuuummmm cake… anywho, on Sunday we have a meeting with our first photographer, so I hope that goes well. Well, that’s all i got for now. Blog ya later.
